When Meliah Wright was young she wrote poems, essays, and stories. As long as she can remember, she has always enjoyed the opportunity to write.
Meliah Wright, a tenth grader at Martha Layne Collins High School, is the daughter of Ashlyn and Brady Wright. Meliah is preparing to attend the George Mason University Washington Journalism and Media Conference this summer.
The conference is a week-long experiential learning program for highly engaged high school students. Meliah is excited to learn from leaders in the industry and award-winning journalists.
Students are invited by George Mason University through information they receive about students’ interests and academic ability through the ACT or SAT. Approximately, 300 National Youth Correspondents have been selected from across the nation and even internationally to attend the Conference.
