Painted Stone Elementary Panthers led the way this month by collecting items and donations for the Shelby County Humane Society. In the book, “The One and Only Bob,” the main character, Bob, is a stray dog. Students at PSE were inspired by Bob to make a difference in their community. Tuesday, March 26th, the student leadership team visited the Shelby County Humane Society to deliver the items we collected along with a sizeable donation. The leadership team had a great time visiting all the cute cats and kittens available for adoption. Principal Hance said, “It was so wonderful for our students to be able to see how their generosity will be used in the community. We will reveal the amount we collected at Thursday’s morning meeting.“
These wonderful cats and kittens in the pictures are available for adoption! We know a few kids who might be asking for a new furry friend after today!
