Shelby County Sheriff’s deputies searched a house in the 5700 block of Bagdad Road last Wednesday at approximately 8:30 a.m.
Several deputies were there and found drug paraphernalia, firearms and evidence of narcotics trafficking. As a result of these findings, seven individuals were arrested during the investigation: Bobby Branham, Anna Johnson, Sarah Armstrong, Larry G. Snider, Kristin Nichols, General James Morgan and Matthew C. Lutes.
Multiple charges have been filed against those arrested, including possession of a controlled substance, trafficking of a controlled substance, possession of a defaced firearm and others.
According to Captain Kyle Tipton of the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department, this case was generated by active deputy patrol efforts in the Bagdad community. Additional information was obtained, the investigation was pursued and a district court judge found probable cause to issue a search warrant.
“We understand our community’s concerns and we just want to reiterate that the rights of the Constitution prohibit law enforcement from unlawful search and seizure,” Tipton said. “We have to do our due diligence to follow and honor those and operate within the Kentucky revised statutes.”
