Daniel Clark Robinson passed away after a battle with Early Onset Alzheimers on February 14, 2024 at the age of 57. He was born July 1, 1966 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Billie Sue (Galloway) Robinson and Austin Robinson (deceased). Danny was the youngest of seven including his sisters Becky Boberg (Ronnie (deceased)) of Vincennes, Indiana, Angie Yugo (Dave) of Buchanan, Michigan, Carla Robinson, Marianne Doades (Kevin), and Lori Robinson

(Dave Tutt), all of Evansville, Indiana, and his brother Austin Robinson (Laurie) of San Antonio, Texas. He grew up primarily in Vincennes, Indiana and attended Rivet High School. After graduating in 1984, he joined the Army as a Medical Specialist. He was proud to serve in the Indiana Army National Guard until 1996. Danny spent 3 years at Indiana State University where he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. While there, he met his wife of 33 years, Tonya Russell Robinson, daughter of Joe and Zella Russell, all of Simpsonville, Kentucky and sister of Steven Russell (Ashley) of Crestwood, Kentucky. He went on to obtain his Accounting degree from the University of Southern Indiana.

Danny’s proudest achievement in life were his three daughters, Hillary Robinson (Peter Lennox), Sarah Robinson and Maitland (Mattie) Robinson, along with his granddaughter, Piper and his grandson who’s on the way. He loved to watch them play sports and even served as the announcer for the girls soccer games at Shelby County High School while Hillary and Sarah played for the team. Later, you could usually find him following Mattie on the golf course as she played for Martha Layne Collins High School.

Danny also had a love of playing sports, especially volleyball and golf. One of his favorite times of the year was Men’s League at the Shelbyville Country Club where he was a member. He was also an avid outdoorsmen and do-it-yourself guy, renovating several homes over the years.

Danny’s family and friends will always remember his notable wit, sarcasm and one-liners. You could never be around him without laughing and having a good time. Even as the disease progressed over the last few years, he kept that sense of humor always wanting to bring a smile to everyone’s face. He was a loyal friend, wonderful father, son and brother and loving husband who made an impact on all that he touched. He especially loved being an uncle to his many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give very special thanks to Morgan Milliner, his buddy and caregiver since late 2021. Also, we appreciate all of the care and support from the staff at Shelby Farms

Senior Center.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana chapter of The Alzheimer’s Association or online at alz.org/kyin.

The family will be holding a celebration of life for all friends and family of Danny on Saturday,

March 2nd, 2024 at 3:00 pm EST at the Shelbyville Country Club.
