    Wanton Endangerment


    Cody S. Ogden, 19, of 310 Coors Drive in Shelbyville was arrested May 11 at 1653 Juniper Drive and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, menacing, fleeing and evading police on foot, second-degree trespass, third-degree trespass, alcohol intoxication.

  • Two men charged with wanton endangerment

    Cody S. Ogden, 19, and Dalton K. Patterson, 18, were arrested early Tuesday morning  and charged with wanton endangerment and other charges after being in a fight at Indian Ridge.

    A report from the Shelbyville Police Department stated that Ogden allegedly had a gun, and that Patterson had a knife. Some residents said the pair threatened their lives at around 2 a.m.

    They were lodged in the Shelby County Detention Center.

    Scott A. Gribbins, 32, of 706 Village Lane in Shelbyville was arrested April 27 at 720 Taylorsville Road and charged with theft from auto, second-degree criminal mischief, second-degree criminal mischief and receiving stolen property under $500.

  • Funny money passed around town

    Two people have been arrested on counterfeit charges, accused of passing fake currency in Shelbyville and Simpsonville.

    Wesley S. Cecil, 28, and Brandy Elaine Rion, 29, both of Louisville, are charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument, a Class C felony, which carries a penalty of 5 to 10 years in prison.

    Shelbyville Police Chief Robert Schutte said that they are accused of passing counterfeit money on eight separate occasions at local businesses during the first week of April.

    No operator’s license


    Jennifer F. Sharp, 35, of city at large in Louisville was arrested April 25 at 1220 Shepherd Way and charged with no operator’s license and giving a false name or address to a police officer.

    She was also served with a Jefferson County bench warrant for cold checks.

    Byron Lopez, 23, of 1109 High St. in Shelbyville was arrested April 20 on College Street and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place, first and second offense.

    Scott D. Hall, 44, of city at large in Shelbyville was arrested April 21 at 1st and Henry Clay Street and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place, first and second offense.

    Driving Under the Influence

    Norris A. Martin, 28, of 66 Autumn Ridge Drive in Shelbyville was arrested April 15 at Bayne and Midland Trial and charged with DUI, no operator’s license, and reckless driving.

    Richard Contreras, 47, of 109 Nora Ave. in Shelbyville, was arrested April 17 on Taylorsville Road and charged with DUI, first offense, operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license and reckless driving.


  • Incest charges dismissed against local man

    All charges have been dropped against a Shelbyville man who was arrested in April 2008 and charged with incest.

    Roy I. Cissell, 56, of Shelbyville had been charged with four counts of incest with someone under 18 years old after a year-long investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
