  • Engagement: Wiley-Iceman

    Susan and James Ray Wiley of Shelbyville announce the engagement of their daughter, Candice Wiley of Shelbyville to Daniel Iceman of Louisville. He is the son of Lisa and Dan Iceman of Louisville.

    Candice is a 2009 graduate of Shelby County High School and 2013 graduate of the University of Louisville where she played golf. She received her master’s degree in 2015 from the University of Louisville and will begin teaching health and P.E. at Eminence Independent Schools in the fall.

  • Birth: Sensabaugh daughter

    LouAnn and Donnie Sensabaugh of Shelby County announce the birth of their third child, daughter, on March 5, 2015, at Baptist East. She has been named Maggie Ann Sensabaugh. She was born at 11:04 a.m., weighing 9 pounds 12 ounces and was 22 inches long. She has two older brothers, Chase, 10 and Owen, 3.

    Grandparents are Marie Wright of Bagdad, Linda and James Sensabaugh of Hodgenville, Don and Diana McMillin of Duluth, Minn.

    Great-grandparents are Annie Boone and Don McMillin Sr.

  • 50th anniversary: William E. and Nancy Smith

    William E. and Nancy Smith of Rushville, Ind.have been married for 50 years. The couple was married on July 17, 1965 at First Baptist Church, Shelbyville.

  • Prewitt graduates basic training

    Air Force Airman 1st Class Louis D. Prewitt graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

  • Zehnder wedding

    Leah Mitchell and John Zehnder were married May 16, 2015 at Twelve Oaks Farm in Sharpsburg, Maryland.

    Parents of the bride are Mark and Kristi Mitchell of Rohrersville, Maryland. The groom is the son of Matt and Ellen Zehnder of Shelbyville.

    Lee Quinn, the groom's uncle,officiated the ceremony.

    The bride was given in marriage by her parents.

    Maid of honor was Brigid Eshbaugh of Apex, North Carolina.

    Best man was Aaron Zehnder of Shelbyville, the groom's brother.

    The couple will reside in Lexington.

  • Hinkle wedding

    Sarah Hanrahan and Jacob Hinkle were married June 27, 2015, at Nederland, Colo.

    Parents of the bride are David and Grace Hanrahan of Huntington, N.Y. The groom is the son of Ron and Debbie Hinkle of Bagdad.

    Roni Choudhuryofficiated the ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by David Hanrahan.

    A reception was held at Stage Stop, Rollinsville, Colo.

    The couple will reside in Denver.

  • Best of Cruise trophy to Imel

    The Shelby County Car Club had a cruise-in at O’Brien Ford. Mark Grin of O’Brien Ford presented the Best of Cruise trophy to Phil Imel for his 1938 Chevrolet Pick-up. The next cruise will be Downtown Shelbyville on June 25.
