Rockets stay hot with wood bats

Wood was good for the Shelby County baseball team this past weekend.
The Rockets won a trio of games – their 11th, 12th and 13th consecutive victories – Friday and Saturday in the Henry County/Shelby County Wood Bat Classic.
Using wooden bats, Shelby County beat Butler County, 7-0, and Rowan County, 5-1, Friday before flogging Fleming County, 12-2, Saturday to improve to 14-1

Kipp Moore tossed a 2-hit, complete-game shutout at the Bears (4-6) on Friday afternoon.
