Johnson playing well at Wesleyan

Aaliyah Wells, a 2013 Collins High School graduate and a freshman wing for the Morehead State women’s basketball team, is coming off the two biggest games of her brief career.

She tallied 10 points – her first double-digit scoring effort – in reserve in the Eagles’ 73-53 Ohio Valley Conference victory over Jacksonville State on Saturday. She was 4-for-7 from the field, including 2-for-4 from 3-point range as Morehead built a 43-18 halftime lead and cruised past the visiting Gamecocks, who feature former Anderson County post player Sydney Brown.
