Wednesday morning 5

Here are five for Wednesday morning:

1. I didn't get to Tweet about it last night, but the Shelby County baseball team held its own against defending state champ Central Hardin on Tuesday night, falling 5-1.

2. The other big news of the night was the firing of Bobby Petrino. I hate to laugh at another man's misfortune, but when you bring it on yourself it's okay, so ha, ha, ha.

3. Speaking of Petrino, I saw several Tweets about the possibilities of him becoming the next football coach at UK. I'd say the chances of that are none, and none.

4. UK hoops fans are on the edge of their collective seats today awaiting the college choices of Nerlens Noel and Shabazz Muhammad tonight. I may have said it before, but I hate these kind of things (a kid's college choice being nationally-televised, in this case on ESPNU), but it's the nature of the beast these days. Big Blue Nation might have to be a little concerned about Noel's tweet about "shocking the world," but since they are both having their announcement at the same time it would make sense to me that they both might pick UK.

5. Speaking of high school basketball, here's a must-watch play from a boys' game.
