Shelby County sophomore Jordan Webb fired a 1-under-par 71 to win the Region 5 girls' golf tournament Tuesday at Henry County Country Club.

Led by Webb the Rockets finished second in the team competition - seven shots behind top-ranked Sacred Heart - to also qualify for next week's State Tournament, which will take place next Friday and Saturday at Bowling Green Country Club.

Also for Shelby County, freshman Madison Thomas tied for seventh-place with an 81, while senior Shannon Harover tied for 10th with an 82. Seventh-grader Lilly Young rounded out Shelby's team score with a 90 to tie for 19th-place.

Collins sent three individuals to the region, however, none qualified for State. For the Titans, freshman Mary Borders shot a 117, sixth-grader Meredith Gaither a 118 and seventh-grader Mallori Webb a 145.
