Graduated star was about 70% of offense

By Josh Cook

The Collins girls’ basketball team lost a lot when Aaliyah Wells graduated.

Wells, a 5-foot-8 forward who now is starting for Morehead State University, averaged 20 points, 10 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 assists per game last season.

“We averaged somewhere in the forties [points] last year, and she averaged about twenty and two or three assists a game, so that’s seventy percent of our offense we graduated with just her,” Collins Coach Phillip Conder said.
