Titans kick off season at home – sort of

-A A +A

They face tough Meade County on Shelby County's field

By Josh Cook

Collins High School kicks off its home-away-from-home football season tonight across town from its campus with what could be a less-than-easy opener.

The Class 4A Titans, trying to follow up on last year’s 11-2 inaugural season, begin the 2011 campaign by hosting 6A Meade County at 7:30 at Shelby County’s Robert Doyle Stadium.

The game is being played at SCHS because problems with Collins’ year-old turf field have left it unsafe for play and unavailable for this season.
