Collins looks to use 1st game as a learning experience

By Les Abbott

The Collins volleyball team opened its 2019 season against visiting 8th Region foe North Oldham on Tuesday night. The Mustangs proved to be too much for the Titans, taking the match 3-0.

The defending 8th Region champs dominated from the opening, besting the Titans 25-9 in the first set. The Mustangs would go on to take the next two sets 25-13 and 25-11.

First year head coach of the Titans Jade Burke said the outcome was not what the Titans had hoped for, but they’ll use the game to grow and be more prepared later in the season.
