Surveillance photos show them at Circle K on Friday

Police are trying to locate three suspects they consider armed and dangerous who at gunpoint robbed a convenience store early Friday morning.

Shelbyville Police said that shortly after 1 a.m., three men entered the Circle K fuel and food store at 1631 Mount Eden Road in Shelbyville, and one of them, apparently wielding a silver handgun, robbed the clerk of an undisclosed amount of cash.

The store’s video surveillance cameras captured several photos of the three, all of whom wore hooded jackets with their hoods up. A photo showed one of them, dressed in a camouflaged jacket and wearing white-billed cap under the hood, coming in the front door, holding what appears to be a silver handgun out in front of him.

Another photo shows a separate suspect, wearing a black jacket with a red bandana covering the lower half of his face, standing behind the counter, reaching toward the cash register. A third person, wearing a bright red jacket, was shown coming in the front door.

No one was injured in the robbery, and police said the three left the store in an unknown type of vehicle. It is not known which direction they took.

But SPD spokesperson Kelly Cable said officers consider the three to dangerous and cautions the public about approaching anyone who seems to fit the description.
