Shelby County escaped the violent weather that spawned dozens for tornadoes across the Midwest and parts of Kentucky.

Rains poured overnight and into Sunday morning, and creeks and tributaries swelled out of their banks, blocking some roads and cutting off exits for some property owners.

No significant damage was reported, although two accidents Sunday morning on Interstate 64 near Simpsonville were said to be weather-related and required two Eastwood firefighters to be transported to the University of Louisville Medical Center.
