Discovery Blvd nearly ready to expand

By Ashley Sutter

The Shelbyville City Council will convene Thursday for a special called meeting at 6:30 p.m. at city hall, 315 Washington Street.  The council did not meet on its regularly scheduled date last week because it conflicted with the Shelbyville Horse Show.  The council meetings will return to their regular schedule for its second meeting of the month next week on Aug. 16.

Highlighting tomorrow’s meeting will be a presentation from the Human Rights Commission, which plans to present and recommend a Fairness Ordinance at the meeting for the council to consider.
