Meredith Ellis of Shelbyville is one of 45 students and five coordinators affiliated with Kentucky Baptist Collegiate Ministry who are serving from the Bluegrass and the Rocky Mountains to East Asia this summer. The 1:8 Leadership Experience mission trips began May 29 and extend through July 25, the culmination of several months of leadership development and discipleship led by Kentucky Baptist Convention staff and Baptist campus ministers serving across Kentucky. Ellis is a member of the 1:8 One Life Team, and she will serve at Cedar Crest Camp in Bagdad and in Haiti.
