SHELBY COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD: Ag teacher concerned about proposed changes

-A A +A

Tentative budget approved

By Kelly Neumeyer

During the public input portion of Thursday’s regular Shelby County Public Schools Board of Education meeting, board members heard from Shelby County High School agriculture instructor Kerwin Ewing and his concerns about some proposed changes to the Ag program.

Ewing told board members he was against the recent proposal that would temporarily move the SCHS agriculture program at Shelby County to Collins during a two-year renovation project at Shelby County High School. Ewing said he is against the proposal even on a temporary basis as recommended by the Ag Committee.
