Shelby County girls finish 4th at State; Webb ties for 9th

The Shelby County girls' golf team finished fourth at the two-day KHSAA State Tournament, which concluded Saturday at the Bowling Green Country Club.

The Rockets carded a collective 694, one shot behind third-place Williamsburg and two shots behind second-place Green County in the team race for first-place. Sacred Heart easily captured the state title with a 649.

Shelby County sophomore Jordan Webb tied for ninth in the individual championship race. She had a two-day total of 157 (13-over-par) after following her first-round 76 with a second round 81.

Caldwell County Emma Talley won the individual title with a 6-under 138.

Also for the Rockets, senior Shannon Harover finished 30th with a 170 (26-over), while freshman Madison Thomas tied for 34th-place with a 173 (29-over).
