SCHS boys golf team now 2-0 in matches

The Shelby County boys’ golf team improved to 2-0 in dual matches with a 164-168 victory Tuesday over visiting Kentucky Country Day at Weissinger Hills Golf Course.

Junior Dakota Baatz led the Rockets with 2-over-par 38. Also for Shelby County, junior Tanner Brandenburg added 40 and senior Isaac Martin and junior Cory Chance 43s.

The Rockets play in George Rogers Clark’s Cardinal Invitational, which begins at 1 p.m. Saturday at Old Silo Golf Course in Mount Sterling.
