KY 55 to be 1 lane over I-64 tonight

-A A +A

The Department of Highways announced that KY 55 will be reduced to one lane at the bridge over Interstate 64 in Shelby County between 6 p.m. and midnight tonight.  KYTC crews will be performing bridge deck patching.

Motorists are reminded, too, that lane closures are scheduled on Interstate 64 between the Jefferson/Shelby County line and the Simpsonville exit (mile points 23.2 to 28.1) because of asphalt paving. Lane closures are planned for days and evenings Monday through Saturday. Two lanes will remain open in each direction during the daytime. The roadway could be reduced to one lane during the evenings.

The actual starting date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
