HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Rockets hammer North Oldham

By Todd Martin

The Shelby County High School football team was rested and ready Friday night.

The Rockets returned from the bye week in a big way, hammering visiting North Oldham 29-3.

The Rockets (4-3, 1-1 in the district) dominated from opening kickoff, racing out to a 20-3 lead in the first half, and limiting the Mustangs (3-4, 1-1) to just 95 yards of total offense for the game, including -9 running the ball.

The dominating performance, SCHS coach Todd Shipley said, is due in large part to the players getting used to their roles on defense.
