Shelby welcomes North Oldham for 2nd district matchup

By Todd Martin

Fresh off a bye week, the Shelby County High School football team finds itself ready to go tonight as the Rockets play host to North Oldham High School at Robert Doyle Stadium.

“The week off was good, hopefully we’re a little healthier,” SCHS coach Todd Shipley said.

While the Rockets (3-3, 0-1 in the district) were mending the typical aches and pains of a football season, Shipley said the team was focused on getting better for the stretch run, which includes two more district games after tonight and a game against South Oldham to close the season.
