Here is a rundown of the county basketball games from Friday night:


Montgomery County 59, Collins 47

The Titans (11-6) led the Indians (18-3) 42-37 after three quarters at the Toyota Classic semifinals at Scott County. However, Collins went 1-for-16 from the field and had seven turnovers in the fourth quarter, when it was outscored 22-5.

Junior forward Ralphie Stone had 13 points and senior forward Dez Marshall 12 points and 13 rebounds for the Titans. Check here for stats.

Omar Prewitt led Montgomery County, which very well could represent the 10th Region at the Sweet 16, with 19 points and 16 rebounds. Junior guard Bryan Wallace, who played last season at Shelby County, added 14 points (7 in the fourth quarter).

North Oldham 61, Shelby County 38

The Mustangs (10-8) blew out the Rockets (6-13) in the second half for a 23-point victory at Mike Casey Gymnasium. 

Cornerstone Christian 78, Christian Educational Consortium 43

Josh Woodward scored 20 points to lead the host Bulldogs (15-4) to victory.


Shelby County 39, Spencer County 32

The visiting Rockets outscored the Bears 14-5 in the fourth quarter to rally for a 30th District victory in Taylorsville.

Freshman forward Justus Martin scored 17 points to lead Shelby County (12-8, 3-2).

Spencer County (7-12, 0-5) led 12-6 at the end of the first quarter, 23-17 at halftime and 27-25 at the conclusion of the third period before the Rockets rallied.
