Five for Monday morning

Here are five for early Monday morning of what will be the longest week of work, or school, you've ever had:

1. Are you, or anyone you know heading to New Orleans for the Final Four? If so Tweet me or e-mail me at jcook@sentinelnews.com.

2. Any argument that Saturday's game between UK and UofL is the biggest sporting event in the history of the state? Bigger than the Kentucky Derby? The original Dream Game? Tiger winning the PGA at Valhalla in 2000? The U.S. winning the Ryder Cup there in 2008?

3. If UK wins the title I think the Wildcats' Anthony Davis, Terrence Jones and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist earns a spot in the debate of the greatest frontcourts in college hoops history.

4. If UofL beats UK on Saturday then Ohio State on Monday night it would, without a doubt, be Rick Pitino's greatest coaching job as well as one of the greatest coaching jobs in the history of the game.

5. Finally here's a little something to get you in the mood for Saturday's game. It's the end of regulation of the original Dream Game between UK and UofL in the 1983 Mideast Regional final in Knoxville, Tenn. We can only hope Saturday's meeting rivals that one.
