Five for Friday afternoon

Here are five for Friday afternoon:

1. University of Kentucky Athletic Director Mitch Barnhart says Joker Phillips "absolutely" will be the Wildcats' coach next season, and there's no reason to doubt him given the fact that he always stood behind Rich Brooks even when some (including myself) thought he should be canned early in his UK days. This year has been a disaster so far for the Wildcats, and there's no signs of it getting any better, but Phillips deserves at least another year or two.

2. Is Central Florida on its way to the Big East? I'd say probably yes, but let's face it Boise State would be the biggest "get" the Big Least could get right now.

3. Have you seen the latest in the Taiwanese video that pokes fun at American sports? This one is on the NBA lockout, check it out.

4. Did you see Rajon Rondo's no-look alley-oop pass to former Morehead State star Kenneth Faried the other night on the Big Blue All-Stars Tour? See it here, it's awesome!

5. Speaking of which, anyone out headed to Big Blue Madness or UofL's Red-White scrimmage tonight? I'll have to tape one, or both, and watch later. I'll be at the Shelby County-Bullitt Central football game, so follow me on Twitter @jcsentinelnews for updates throughout the night.
