Bagdad Bagdad services
Sweet Spirit will perform their Easter program at Bagdad Bagtist Church at 11 a.m. on April 6. The adult Easter cantata will be at 11 a.m. on April 13. The children’s Easter program will be at 6 p.m. on April 13. There will be a Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m. on April 17. Bagdad will show the Passion of the Christ movie at 6 p.m. on Good Friday. The Easter egg hunt will be at 2 p.m. on April 19. Easter sunrise service begins at 6:45 a.m. on April 20 and will be followed by Sunday school at 10 a.m. and worship at 11 a.m.
Burks Branch Baptist services
The choir will present the cantata, Glorious Day! during the morning worship service at 11 a.m. on Palm Sunday, April 13 at Burks Branch Baptist Church. Good Friday service will be at 6 p.m. April 18, followed by a potluck fellowship meal. The church will host an Easter Egg Hunt at 1 p.m. on April 19. A Sunrise Service will be at 7 a.m. on Easter Sunday, April 20 in the church yard followed by a fellowship potluck breakfast. The service will be held inside if it rains. Services include Sunday School at 9:50 a.m. followed by Easter Worship Service.
Annunciation fish fry
Church of the Annunciation, on Main Street in Shelbyville, will begin Lenten fish fries from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Fridays through April 11. Dine in or carry out. Proceeds will benefit the Toinson fund and the building fund. For more information, call 633-1547.
Christiansburg Baptist Church
Easter services will begin with sunrise services at 7 a.m. at Christiansburg Baptist Church. The Easter cantata, “Behold the Lamb” will begin at 11 a.m.
Dover Baptist Easter services
Good Friday (Word’s from the Cross)   will be celebrated with a candlelight service at 7 p.m. on April 18 at Dover Baptist Church. A children’s Easter egg hunt will be 2 p.m. April 19. 40 days of prayer concludes with a Bible study for all ages, at 10 a.m. on April 20, and Easter worship services at 11.
Finchville Community Easter celebration
Finchville Baptist Church will have their Easter cantata at 10:30 a.m. April 13 in the sanctuary; free fellowship meal follows in Fellowship Hall. Good Friday service will begin at 7 p.m. April 18 in the Finchville Sanctuary. Eggstravaganza with free food, egg hunts for age groups, super prizes for each age group will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 19 at Finchville Park. Easter sunrise service will be at 6:45 a.m. on April 20 at the Finchville Park, Finchville Sanctuary if raining. A free Easter breakfast will be at 7:15 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall with breakfast cooked by the Deacons. Easter Sunday will only have one service at 10:30 a.m. at the Finchville Ruritan building. First Christian
The Stations of the Cross may be viewed from 6 to 7 p.m. March 28, April 4, 11 and April 17 at First Christian Church. A Lenten journey to the Cross will be through scripture, meditation, prayer, art and music. All children are invited to the Easter Egg Hunt at 2 p.m. on April 12. The children’s Easter play will be during the 11 a.m. worship service on April 13. Maundy Thursday service will be at 7 p.m. April 17. Sunrise service will be at 7:30 a.m. April 20, and a breakfast will be at 8:15, sponsored by the Diaconate. They will serve scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, fruit, milk, juice and coffee.  Tickets may be purchased from the Diaconate on Sunday Mornings. Tickets are $6 each or $20 for a family of four or more.  For more information, contact Geralyn Groves. Easter services will be at 11 a.m. on April 20. There will not be an early service at 9 a.m. on Easter Sunday.
Highland Baptist services
Good Friday services will begin at 6:30 p.m. April 18 at Highland Baptist Church. An Easter Egg hunt will be at 10 a.m. April 19. Easter Sunrise service at 7:15 a.m. April 20, and Resurrection celebration at 10:30.
New Covenant Church services
Easter Sunrise Service will be at 7:30 a.m. at New Covenant Church, followed by a continental breakfast. Regular worship service will begin at 9 a.m.
Bunny day at Red Orchard
The third annual Bunny Day will be from 10 a.m. to noon on April 5 at Red Orchard Park. Events include an egg hunt at 10:30, live broadcast on Froggy Radio 101.7-104.9, crafts and face painting, and many other surprises. Eggs, candy and prize sponsors are needed. Simpsonville Baptist

Week 27 will take us into the Resurrection at Shelby Christian Church. Early that Sunday morning, a small band of faithful women approached His tomb wondering who could remove the rock that sealed the entrance.
