EARLIER: Soler Jiminez advances to regional semis

FRANKFORT – Only Antonio Soler Jiminez remains from the Rockets’ tennis team in the rain-delayed 8th Region Tournament at Franklin County High School. Soler Jimenez, seeded second in the singles competition, fought his way into a semifinal match today by pounding Steve Saligumba of Franklin County, 6-2, 6-0, moving deeper into the regional tourmaent than a boy from SCHS ever has gone. He will play 4:30 against an opponent that has yet to be determined. The final will be Thursday.
