Charger miscues, crisp offense lead Shelby in blowout

By Todd Martin

After another slow start, the SCHS football team found itself with just 6 yards of offense and trailing Bullitt East, 8-0, with about four minutes to play in the first quarter. But a miscue by the Chargers -- the first of many -- woke up the Rockets, and it was all Shelby County from there. The Rockets (3-1) scored the game's next 42 points, starting with an 8-yard pass from Branden Cresap to Edwin Thomas with 17 seconds remaining in the first quarter and concluding with a 22-yard pass from Cresap to Tavis Elzy about midway through the third quarter.
