Crime Stoppers asking for help in purse snatching

Crimes Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect in a purse snatching that happened April 21 at Kroger.


Shelbyville Police say an unidentified man, described as a while male in his 20s followed the victim, an elderly woman, from the store, and as she was placing her groceries in her car, he stole her purse from the shopping cart.

Another person driving a white pick up truck, unknown make or model, picked up the man and left in an unknown direction. The stolen purse contained cash, as well as the woman’s driver’s license and checkbook. The crime occurred at about 1:15 pm.
