Catholic Church of Annunciation

This past week we completed the two part series on the "2,000 year History of the Catholic Church" for the RCIA. This week’s session will be on "Mary and The Saints" at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Of all the teachings of the Catholic Church, the ones that give the non-Catholics the most trouble tend to center on Mary. This session will cover the four basic dogmas the Church teaches about Mary: How Jesus is at the heart of everything Catholics believe about Mary; Why Catholics don't worship Mary and the saints, but honor them as models for all Christians; What Catholics really mean when they say they "pray to" Mary and the saints; What role Mary should play in the life of every believer. All are welcome, regardless of where you are in your spiritual journey, we would be honored to help you explore full communion with the Catholic Church. This past Sunday afternoon the Catholic Church served 50+ of our communities poor and needy, a wonderful "ThanksGiving Meal" will all the trimmings. Thanks go to all involved especially the "Youth" of the parish for serving and assisting. "Breakfast with Santa" will be from 8 to 11 a.m. on Dec. 5.
