A potential treatment option for physical, mental symptoms

By Glen Jennings

A new treatment for anxiety and other conditions is beginning to attract attention in Shelby County and surrounding areas.

Some have started using hemp oil to counteract the effects of some mental and physical health issues, according to Cathy Hance, a Shelby County native and pharmacist-owner at Compound Care Rx Plus, located at 12121 Shelbyville Road in Louisville.

“Hemp oil is extracted from the hemp plant, and it contains cannabinoids, that can be used medicinally,” Hance said.
