5K Run downtown in the morning; gala at Claudia Sanders in the evening

By Lisa King

Saturday will be dedicated from daylight until nearly midnight to fundraisers that will benefit two Operation Care facilities, one of which you may know – Mercy Medical – and one whose name may be totally new – Omega House.

These fundraisers, consisting of a 5-kilometer run downtown in the morning and a gala dinner and dance at Claudia Sanders Dinner House in the evening, will be the beginning of a tradition, said Jeff Johnson, director of Operation Care, who last year replaced the retired Judy Roberts.
