UofL-UK game

I didn't get a chance to write about the UofL-UK football game this week, so I'll blog about it.

Here are my five thoughts on the game:

1. The winning team will be the one that has the better run game. It's held true in every matchup in the modern era the team that has run the ball better has won the game. With that in mind you have to give the edge to UK, which may not have the more experienced running backs, but does have the more experienced offensive line.

Saturday round-up

Here's a round-up of some local Saturday sports action:

1. Shelbyville's Brandon Brown is still tied for 10th-place after the third round of the Woodcreek Classic Sponsored by Woodcreek Development, this week's stop on the NGA/Hooters Pro Golf Tour, at 12-under-par (204). Brown, who is six shots off the lead, is set to tee off his final round at 8:51 a.m. Sunday.

Here are five items for Friday:

1. Shelbyville's Brandon Brown is tied for 41st-place with a 3-under par after the first round of this weekend's NGA/Hooters Pro Golf Tour's event. He's six shots off the pace and one shot ahead of the projected cut.

Weekend roundup

Here's a look back at the weekend that was (and continues today with the holiday):

1. Collins sophomore running back DeAndre Farris had a breakout game, with 122 yards, as the Titans controlled the line of scrimmage against Class 6A Oldham County in their 20-7 victory Friday night.
