Rumors circulating about possible new coaches at Martha Layne Collins High School are very premature.

The school, which will open next year, is nowhere near hiring coaches.

According to Gary Kidwell, Shelby County Public Schools' director of Student Accounting and Support Services, the new school won't be hiring until next year.

If football games are won in the trenches, it’s no shock the Rockets dominated Fern Creek, 39-13, Friday.

No one played a single hole as rains began early Friday morning.

Players and coaches seemed to be glad not to have the day dragged out, said Butch Cope, KHSAA's assistant commissioner.
