“The Challenge” boot camp

Shelby County Parks & Recreation is offering “The Challenge” boot camp, an 8-week fitness challenge to lose weight, inches and body fat while participating in a 2-month intense, fitness boot camp. Camp will run from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Tuesdays & Thursdays from Jan. 8 until Feb. 28 at the Family Activity Center. Cost is $120 for members and $150 for non-members. Soccer sign-ups

Shelby County Parks & Rec. is offering sign-ups for youth soccer leagues. League games will be played mostly on Saturday mornings and Sunday afternoons. Here are the leagues: Pee Wee (4-6-year-olds), cost $50; under 8 (7-8-year-olds), cost is $75; under 10 (9-10-year-olds), cost is $75; under 12 (11-12-year-olds), cost is $75; Rec.
