Nobody eating their hot dog or popcorn caught a pass from Katie Hudgens Friday.
Hudgens, a senior point guard for Shelby County may be grasping the role coach Jason Holland has envisioned for her as she led Shelby to a 55-40 win over cross-town rival Collins Friday.
“Coach always tells us not to throw it to the people in the stands eating their hot dog or their popcorn but to throw it to each other,” Hudgens said. “I think we played two really good teams the first two games, and we made too many mistakes. Tonight we didn’t do that.”
