Schools need to refocus

I received a phone call and a memo from East Middle School yesterday afternoon saying due to budget cuts they will no longer be providing ESS before school.  After reading all the articles in your paper in regards to Collins High School and the issues that the school is having, I started to wonder if the school board is cutting other schools’ funding in our district because they have to make up for all the mistakes at Collins. I became highly upset and started seeing red.

Zone change would be wrong

Dangerous dogs

I am worried for the safety of my mom. We live on Old Finchville Road, and there are packs of dogs running around our street. My mom lives 2 houses down from me and is scared to even walk to her mailbox.

A new budget plan

There is plenty of blame to go round for the protracted, embarrassing performance of our elected officials during the recent debt ceiling debate. The kamikaze tactics of the tea party crowd deserve special mention. However, to their credit, these folks did get me to take a new look at the federal bureaucracy and where significant savings might be realized.
