    Jessica R. Morgan, 18, of 2575 Fisherville Road in Finchville was arrested March 2 on Midland Trail and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, second offense, third-degree possession of a controlled substance, drug unspecified, attempting to purchase alcohol and no registration receipt.

  • Bagdad woman pleads not guilty in theft case

    A Bagdad woman charged with embezzling more than $115,000 from her employer pleaded not guilty Monday in Shelby Circuit Court.

    A Shelby County Grand Jury recently indicted Linda C. Poole, 57, of 7345 Elmburg Road in a total of 20 counts related to thefts from Amen East, an auto salvage business in Bagdad.

    The indictments were for 2 counts of theft by unlawful taking under $10,000; 11 counts of theft by unlawful taking over $10,000 and 7 counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. No attorney appeared with her before Judge Charles Hickman.

    Joshua K. Kanavan, 18, of 440 Robin Wood Drive was arrested Jan. 10 on Cropper School Road and charged with first-degree criminal mischief, second-degree criminal trespass and theft by unlawful taking.

    Ashleigh N. Ballard, 18, of 496 Miles Lane in Bagdad was arrested Jan. 10 on Cropper Road and charged with first-degree criminal mischief and second-degree criminal trespass.

    Rural survey results

    to be presented tonight


    The results of a survey conducted by Shelby Area Rural Conservation will be revealed to the community at 6:30 tonight in a presentation in meeting room B at the Shelby County Extension Office. A mixer session will be followed by the presentation at 7.

    SARC commissioned the Matrix Group from Lexington to do a random survey of Shelby County residents to get their ideas on including farmland in a balanced growth plan for Shelby County.

    Robin F. and Robert E. Vick III were married Sept. 3, 2011, at Country Plantation House in Greenville.

    Parent of the bride is Penny C. Reynolds of Waddy. The groom is the son of Robert and Debbie Vick Jr. of Greenville.

    The bride and groom both received a Bachelor of Science degrees in criminal justice from Eastern Kentucky University.

    Robin Vick works with the administrative office of the courts in Frankfort as a recovery coordinator, and Robert Vick is the owner of Robert Vick Photography, based in Richmond and Western Kentucky.

    Jim and Trish Fegenbush and Carolyn Douglas, all of Shelbyville, announce the engagement of their daughter, RaeAnne M. Douglas of Clarksville, Tenn., to Tom H. Pae of Clarksville.

    He is the son of Andrew and Angela Pae of Chandler, Ariz.

    Douglas, formerly of Shelbyville, is the daughter of the late Carl Ray “Buster” Douglas.

    They are both captains in the U.S. Army, currently assigned to the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell.

    The wedding will take place at 5 p.m. April 7, 2012, at The Gillespie in Louisville.

    Koreena and Trever Bailey of Mount Eden announce the birth of their third child, a daughter, on Jan. 23, 2012, at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville. She has been named Kaleeah Marie Bailey. Grandparents are Wanda and Dave Shreckengost of Hernando, Fla., and Roy and Wanda Bailey of Shelbyville. Great-grandparent is Bessie Chowning of Shelbyville.
