They toured various areas of the building where they hallway procedures were taught like walking on the right side, holding a bubble of air in your mouth, and keeping arms crossed in front, or in back like a ducktail.

  • On campus: Holt Tripp and Calla Roberts

    Tripp accepted at OSU Veterinary College
    Holt Tripp of Shelbyville was among 83 students accepted into the incoming class of 2015 at Oklahoma State University’s Center for Veterinary Health Sciences. Tripp is the son of Beth and Phil Tripp of Shelbyville, a graduate from Shelby County High School and earned a BS degree in Agriculture with a minor in Animal Science from Oklahoma State University. Tripp received the Totusek All-Around Freshman Award and the Senior Award of Merit from OSU’s Department of Animal Science.

  • Collins wins pair of volleyball matches

    The Collins volleyball team won a pair of matches this week, defeating Franklin County on Tuesday night and Eminence on Wednesday.

    The host Titans beat the Flyers, 25-21, 20-25, 25-18. Collins, led by its seniors, won the decisive set after dropping the second. Senior outside hitter Allison Henshaw finished with four aces, 15 digs and one block, while classmate middle blocker Ashley Williams added 8 kills and 16 digs.

  • Shelby County Invitational tomorrow

    Saturday’s Shelby County cross country invitational could be a preview of the Class 2A, Region 3 meet, in more ways than one.

    Several of the top teams, and individuals, who’ll run at the Rockets’ course tomorrow morning will likely be back at the same site for the regional meet Nov. 5. The girls’ varsity race is set to begin at 9 a.m. Saturday with the boys’ varsity race to follow at 9:45 a.m.
