TAYLORSVILLE – Shelby County boys’ basketball coach Rick Parsons knew, that because of the 30th District’s odd tiebreaker, the Rockets would be the third-seeded team in the upcoming district tourney even before their game at Spencer County on Tuesday night.
But he didn’t care. He wanted to win, and win some respect.
He had to settle for 1 out of 2.
The Bears (18-5, 4-0) capped off their perfect district campaign with a 61-56 victory over stubborn Shelby in front of a standing-room only crowd at their gym.
