    Kaitlyn Grunder, daughter of Ronald and Bonnie Grunder of Shelbyville, was awarded the valedictorian and Christian leadership scholarships to attend Georgetown College in Georgetown. A senior at Cornerstone Christian Academy, she will receive the scholarship upon matriculation in the fall.

  • Amber Barnett in Trike-a-Thon

    Adventure Club preschool presented the annual Trike-a-Thon to benefit Kosair Children’s Hospital. The 4-year-old classes receive donations of more than $3,000. Amber Barnett, daughter of Chuck and Brandi Barnett of Shelbyville, raised $1,059.

  • Clean sweep at music showcase

    The Shelby Singers and SCHS eighth-grade choir made a clean sweep of the Music Showcase Festivals in Cincinnati. Shelby Singers won their category and best overall high school choir, plus all four sectional trophies for alto, soprano, tenor and bass. The eighth-grade chorus won their class and best overall middle school choir.

  • Fun learning

    Mrs. Cottrell's second-grade class at Clear Creek Elementary have fun learning about geometry, shapes and forms. They were building colorful structures to create rectangular prisms, cubes, pyramids and more.
