Shelbyville Post 37 came away with one win in the Western Kentucky University Tournament, but according to coach Jim Wiley, playing the best baseball of the year.
Shelbyville (11-9) was 1-3 on the weekend, beating Midland, Ohio and losing to Nashville and the Bowling Green Dirtbags (twice).
“We were in every game and had a chance to win the game but couldn’t stop their hitters,” Wiley said. “They were all good teams. I feel like we’re a better team than we were a week ago by playing that competition.”
