A Lexington man has been indicted in connection with a fatal crash on I-64 in Simpsonville in May 2015.
Rosendo Rodriquez-Fuentes, 23, is charged with murder, DUI, first-degree wanton endangerment, no operator's license and no insurance.
His passenger, Luis Espinoza Carranza, 27, was killed.
The three-vehicle accident happened at 4:45 am. In the morning at mile marker 30 on I-64 in Simpsonville, when Rodriquez-Fuentes hit an abandoned car that was parked in the emergency lane, said Shelby County Emergency Medical Services Director Jeff Ivers.
