A Shelbyville man has been indicted on several charges incurred during a May 8 altercation with a state trooper that sent both of them to the hospital.

James L. Shuck, 23, was indicted for second-degree burglary, third-degree assault, first-degree fleeing or evading police and resisting arrest.

Shuck was arrested after an altercation with Kentucky State Police Trooper Hunter Martin on Village Lane in which the trooper used his Taser on Shuck twice, then fired his revolver at him.

Information is needed on a burglary that happened on the 100th block of Nora Avenue.

At about 9:40 a.m. on Aug. 7, someone entered a residence on that street and stole a wallet which contained $250, the victims’ driver’s license and other miscellaneous identification cards.

The resident had reportedly left the residence open while visiting a neighbor for a few minutes.

DUI

Francis E. Silas, 53, of 1515 Flood Road in Shelbyville was arrested Aug. 5 at Main and 8th streets and charged with DUI, careless driving and expired tags.

Angela G. Snow, 26, of 14 Olympia Drive in Bardstown was arrested Aug. 6 on I-64 West at mile marker 32 and charged with DUI.

Kentucky State Police participated in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) May seat belt campaign called “Click It Or Ticket.” The campaign was sponsored by the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety and ran from May 18 through May 31. During the 14-day mobilization, KSP issued 9,921 seat-belt and 288 child-restraint citations to unrestrained motorists.
