The following cases were heard by Judge Donna Dutton:

Paul Castillio Torres, speeding 26 mph over limit and no operator's/moped license - guilty - 45-day sentence and $204 fine and costs.

Angela A. Groves, theft by unlawful taking/shoplifting - guilty - 60-day sentence, serve 10 days, balance conditionally discharged for 2 years and $144 costs.

Jesse Guzman, alcohol intoxication in a public place and second-degree disorderly conduct - guilty - seven-day sentence and $169 fine and costs.

Traffic-Related

Manuel Marcus, 36, of 23 Lees Court in Shelbyville was arrested Thursday on Midland Trail at Stone Crest and charged with no operator’s license, disregarding a traffic-control device, reckless driving, failure to maintain insurance.

Jose Elvis Vazquez, 30, of 457 Seven Mile Pike No. 2 in Shelbyville was arrested Saturday on Midland Boulevard and charged with no operator’s license and speeding.

The following cases were heard by Judge Linda Armstrong:

Samuel John Alvey Jr., first-offense DUI and no/expired registration plates - plead guilty - 10-day sentence conditionally discharged for 2 years, operator's license suspended for 30 days and $748 fine and costs.

Thomas F. Albrecht, first-offense DUI - guilty - operator's license suspended for 30 days and $728 fine and costs.

Richard D. Smith of 571 Big Valley Drive in Sheparedsville, Ky. was indicted for second-degree escape and for being a persistent felony offender.

Antonio D. Sanderson of 617 and 1/2 3rd St. in Shelbyville was indicted for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine), complicity, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, illegal possession of a controlled substance (hallucinogen marijuana), possession of a controlled substance not in its original container, and reckless driving.
