For Humberto Cruz of Spruce Drive, the grass was not greener on the other side.

He went out to mow his grass Wednesday afternoon and ended up in jail.

According to the police report, deputies saw him driving a red Huskee lawn mower on the street, "driving over curbs and running in and out of traffic."

The reports states that Cruz ran a stop sign when two deputies tried to pull him over on the lawn mower.

Victoriano Perez, 29, of 801 Shelby Manor in Shelbyville was arrested Thursday on Washington Street and charge with no operator’s license and improper turning.

Antonio Cardenas, 41, of 816 Bland Ave. in Shelbyville was arrested Friday at Henry Clay and 7th streets and charged with no operator’s license and disregarding a stop sign.

Jennifer G. Stivers, 33, of Waddy was arrested Saturday on Indian Ridge and charged with DUI, first offense and possession of a controlled substance not in original container, first offense.

Idengo Reyes, 31, of Shelbyville was arrested Wednesday at Midland

and Mack Walters and charged with no operator's license, disregarding a traffic control device and no insurance.

DUI and Traffic-Related  

Richard A. Graham, 45, of 226 Depot Street in Bloomfield, Ky. was arrested Thursday at U.S. 60 and Old Finchville Road and charged with DUI first offense and possession of an open alcoholic beverage container.

John R. Patton, 51, of 607 Matterhorn Drive in Shelbyville was arrested Thursday at 5th and Main Street and charged with DUI first offense and careless driving.
