  • Shelby County Grand Jury Indictments

    Katherine Burnett, 29, of 648 Backcreek Road in Mount Eden, was indicted for tampering with public records, perjury and second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.

    Henry H. Ellis, 39, of 740 Quail Call Drive was indicted for cultivating in marijuana, possession of marijuana, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicants under aggravating circumstances, no license in possession, and disregarding a traffic control device.

    DUI/Traffic

    Christopher A. Harrod, 29, of 606 Rose St. was arrested Sept. 27 on Frankfort Road and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs under aggravating circumstances, second offense and operating on a revoked or suspended operator's license.

    Caleb Heitzman, theft by unlawful taking or disp shoplifting under $500 – guilty – $479 fine and costs.

  • Monroe trial moved to March

    A jury trial scheduled for next week for Lonnie Monroe, who was charged with manslaughter in a deadly wreck in 2011, has been postponed until next spring.

    At Monroe’s final pretrial hearing Monday in Shelby Circuit Court, Shelby County Assistant Commonwealth Attorney Melanie Carroll told Circuit Judge Charles Hickman that one of the witnesses she planned to call would be unavailable on Dec. 8, the date of the trial.

    Hickman then moved the jury trial to March 25, with another final pretrial hearing on Feb. 16.

    Ashley Hicks, theft by unlawful taking or dispensing shoplifting and third-degree criminal trespassing – guilty – 20-day sentence and $254 fine and costs.

  • Shelby County Grand Jury Indictments

    Danita Patterson, 56, of 77 Monica Drive was indicted for first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine), promoting contraband, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a DUI suspended license, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicants, second offense, possession of an alcoholic beverage container in a vehicle and careless driving.

    Jennifer R. Stone, 38, of 5461 Finchville Road was indicted for theft by unlawful taking under $10,000.

  • Shelby County Sheriff's Warrants Nov. 19, 2014

    Tanna R. Malone, 32, of 138 Sherry Drive was arrested Sept. 5, 2014 at 401 Main Street on a Shelby County warrant for an unstated charge.

    Michael D. Lieser, 27, of 8180 Hatton Road in Frankfort was served Sept. 4 at the Shelby County Detention Center with a Shelby County warrant for probation violation for a felony offense.

    David M. Bailey, 18, of 1210 Shepherds Way was served Sept. 4 at the Shelby County Detention Center with a Shelby County warrant for an unstated charge.

    Felipe D. Rodriguez, 45, of 1528 Cherry Lane was arrested Nov. 1 at 123 Henry Clay St. and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicants under aggravated circumstances, first offense and possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a vehicle.

    Meleton Hernandez, 27, of 5211 Eminence Pike was arrested Oct. 30 on Old Eminence Pike and charged with driving without a license.
