    Martin E. Anderson, 53, died Saturday, Feb. 27 in Waddy.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Anderson and Delorse Jean Hooper Anderson.  He is survived by his wife, Robin E. Anderson of Waddy; 3 sisters and 1 brother. Funeral services will be private. Shannon Funeral Service of Shelbyville is in charge of arrangements.

    Helen T. Montgomery, 85, of Shelbyville, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010 in Shelbyville.  Arrangements are incomplete. Shannon Funeral Service is handling arrangements.

     

  • Geneva Harrod Brewer

    BAGDAD - Geneva Harrod Brewer, 79, died Saturday, the 27th of February, 2010, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

     

    Born to the late Florence and Sanford Miles Harrod in Franklin County, Kentucky, she was a homemaker, a retired sales clerk from the Smith-McKenney Drug Company in Shelbyville and a member of Indian Fork Baptist Church.

    Iva Allnutt Jackson, 77, of Shelbyville died Wednesday, February 24th at her residence.

  • Van Combs Jr.

     

    Van Combs Jr., age 77, died Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at his residence.

    He was the son of the late Van and Eunice Hall Comb, native of Perry County and a farmer.

  • Norbin Gregory Snider

     

    Norbin Gregory Snider, 56, of Taylorsville, died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010, at Baptist Hospital East.

    He was born in Shelbyville, Kentucky, to the late Guthrie and Nan Elizabeth Shelburne Snider, and lived in Taylorsville most of his life.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Laura Lee Snider Colvin, and a brother-in-law, Robert "Bob" Bauer. Survivors include one sister, Nanette Snider Bauer of Louisville.

  • Virginia Kent Gibbs Bond

    Virginia Kent Gibbs Bond, 90, of Shelbyville died Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at her home.

     

    She was a member of the Highland Baptist Church. For many years she was a self employed wall paper hanger and also contracted with the Old Mill Shop.

    She was preceded in death by her husbands, Wesley Gibbs, and Walter Bond; son, Benny Lee Gibbs; granddaughter, Tammy Marie Gibbs; sisters, Arlene Smith, Mattie Wilson, Minnie Petitt Craig; brothers, Leonard, Orvel and Charlie Kent.

  • Charles H. Wills

    Charles H. Wills died Feb. 14, 2010, at his home in Atlanta.

    He was born near Shelbyville to James Earl Wills and Gertrude Hazelwood Wills. Carolyn Lee Wills of Atlanta was his wife for over 44 years.

    Charles is survived sisters-in-law Elizabeth Wills and Lynette Jones; Godsons, Gene Whitner Milner III, and twins David and Scott Richards.

    He was proceeded in death by his two brothers, James Earl Wills Jr, and Elmer Thomas Wills.

  • Etta Lea Stokes

     

    Etta Lea Stokes, 90, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away February 19, 2010 at the Salemtowne health care center.

    The daughter of Claude Johnson Lea and Alice Belle Violette Lea, she was born June 27, 1919 in Shelbyville, Kentucky.
