Shelby County’s Tyler Stinson lays down a bunt against Grayson County in the 11-1 win on Saturday.
Three big innings lead Shelby past Grayson County

Up 3-1 over Grayson County after three innings of play, Shelby County baseball was searching for a way to put the game out of reach.

Michael Stivers and Caleb Collins were waiting on base when senior Brandon Davis stepped up to the plate in the bottom of the fourth.

On the third pitch of the at-bat, Davis got a hold of the Grayson pitcher Hunter Schiarella’s fastball, roping it over the left centerfield wall and notching a five-run deficit over the visiting Cougars (2-7) and opening the offensive floodgates for the Rockets (3-6-1).
