Rockets growing on the course

The Shelby County boys’ golf team picked up a much-needed victory Tuesday, defeating Western Hills by a score of 184-216.

The top golfers for the Rockets were Zach Houchin, who shot a team-low 42, as well as teammates Chris Soard and Ben Betts who each shot 47’s on the 9-hole match. Eighth-grader Dillon Fields was not far behind Soard and Betts, shooting a 48.

Head coach Casey Page was glad to pick up the victory, even though he knows that the team has the potential to be even better than it was Tuesday.
